Why pod housing
Modular eco-pods let Solaris place beautiful, hotel-grade suites on extraordinary land — quickly, lightly and at a cost conventional resort construction cannot reach.
Eight reasons
Every pod is manufactured and fitted out under controlled factory conditions — not on a remote hillside. Units arrive fully assembled and ready to place, which removes weather delays, site waste and the quality drift that plagues conventional remote construction.
A finished pod can be ready in around 30 days and is engineered to fit standard shipping containers — up to three compact units per container — so international logistics are simple, predictable and inexpensive compared with shipping building materials and crews to site.
Pods sit on raised steel cradles or point foundations rather than poured slabs. No mass excavation, no retaining walls, no scarring of the terrain — and the structure can be relocated or removed in future with the land left largely as it was found.
A galvanised steel frame, aluminium panel shell and fluorocarbon exterior coating resist salt air, humidity and UV. Double-layer tempered glass, thermal insulation and waterproof flooring keep interiors cool, quiet and dry through monsoon seasons and coastal summers alike.
Wide floor-to-ceiling and 270-degree glazing dissolves the boundary between inside and outside. Members wake to jungle canopies, ocean horizons and night skies — the pod frames nature rather than shutting it out.
Smart door locks, LED ceiling lighting, wireless switches and silent climate control come integrated. Each unit is a calm, self-contained suite with sleeping, bathing and lounging zones — no shared corridors, no compromise on privacy.
The same modular platform configures as guest suites, spa and treatment rooms, massage pavilions, wellness studios, staff accommodation and meeting spaces — so an entire Solaris site can be composed from a single, coherent family of structures.
A fully delivered Solaris guest pod — base unit, shipping, assembly, access, plumbing, fit-out, fees and contingency — is planned at $78,200 for a capsule pod and $86,800 for a dome pod — a fraction of the cost of building equivalent resort suites conventionally on remote land.

Modular vs conventional
| Dimension | Solaris modular pods | Conventional resort build |
|---|---|---|
| Construction timeline | Months, not years — ~30 days per pod before shipping | 12–36 months of on-site building per phase |
| Site impact | Raised point foundations; minimal excavation | Slabs, cut-and-fill, heavy plant and spoil |
| Build quality | Controlled factory conditions, repeatable QC | Weather-exposed site labour, variable trades |
| Logistics | Fully assembled units in standard containers | Materials, crews and camps shipped to site |
| Flexibility | Relocatable, expandable, reconfigurable | Fixed permanent structures |
| Capital per suite | $78,200 capsule / $86,800 dome, fully delivered | Multiples higher for comparable remote builds |

Engineering and specification
Galvanised steel frame with aluminium panel exterior — rigid, corrosion-resistant and transportable as a single unit.
Double-layer tempered glass with thermal insulation for panoramic views without heat gain or glare.
Fluorocarbon coating protects against salt spray, UV and heavy rain in coastal and jungle climates.
Waterproof flooring, integrated LED ceiling lighting, wireless switches and smart door locks as standard.
Pods arrive pre-plumbed and pre-wired; on-site work is connection to site water, power and wastewater — not construction.
Dome and linear capsule formats from compact spa and massage rooms to full guest suites with terraces.
